PL Goes Green: When Plastic Bottles Don’t End Up as Waste

Plastic bottles and cups that many people see as “single-use waste” may actually be the beginning of a new purpose.
Phatra Leasing Public Company Limited (PL) invited employees to help turn plastic waste into something meaningful through the “Transforming Plastic into Monk’s Robes” initiative. Used plastic bottles and cups were collected and delivered to Wat Chak Daeng, where they will undergo a recycling process and be transformed into fibers for producing Buddhist monk robes.
In this latest contribution, the Company collected a total of 34 kilograms of plastic waste, marking the third time PL has supported recycling activities with Wat Chak Daeng. The initiative reflects how small actions and collective participation from employees can create a tangible environmental impact.
PL believes that sustainability begins with everyday choices. Whether it is one plastic bottle or a simple act of waste separation, every small action today can contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable world tomorrow.
