PL Compliance Update: Keeping Pace with Regulatory Changes and Strengthening Compliance Readiness

Laws and regulatory requirements governing the financial services industry are continually evolving. Staying informed of these changes is an essential part of effective operations, enabling employees to maintain a clear understanding of applicable requirements and apply them appropriately in their day-to-day work.
On September 18, 2026, PL organized a training program titled “Anti-Money Laundering Risk Management, 2026 Updates to AMLO Regulations, New Hire-Purchase Decree, and Proper Market Conduct Practices.” The program featured guest speakers from the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO) and the Thai Hire-Purchase Association, who shared updates and practical guidance on relevant laws, regulations, and regulatory requirements.
The training covered key areas including anti-money laundering risk management, Know Your Customer (KYC), Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), new laws and regulatory requirements relating to the hire-purchase business, as well as Market Conduct and Responsible Lending practices. The program was designed to ensure that employees were up to date with regulatory developments and understood how to apply the relevant requirements correctly in their work.
The training was conducted in both onsite and online formats, followed by a post-training assessment to reinforce and evaluate participants’ understanding of the topics covered.
PL places importance on continuously monitoring and understanding applicable laws and regulatory requirements, enabling employees to adapt their practices to regulatory changes and carry out their responsibilities in compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
Because proper compliance begins with staying informed of regulatory changes.
