PL clarified that its net profit in Q2 ended March 31, 1997 declined more than 20% year on year because of the following reasons: 1. The company has swapped foreign currencies to prevent risks from exchange rate fluctuation, causing its financial cost to rise. 2. The company has made additional reserve for doubtful accounts.
